By Julee Klein, Marketing Consultant & President Looking for opportunities to connect with your email subscribers in February 2019?According to Marketing Sherpa, 61 percent of email subscribers would like to receive promotional emails every week, and 38 percent would like to receive them more frequently. Although we question if those statistics should be applied to every industry, we do think that small business marketers should be communicating with their customers and subscribers at least once per month. By emailing your communities once a month you'll stay top-of-mind, be able to communicate special offers and sales, and better nurture your customer relationships. Here are some ideas from Constant Contact on how to spread the love all month long: Have some fun with Groundhog Day.Hold a Groundhog Day Sale where, in addition to a special promotion or discount, customers receive a special coupon to come back in during a future time period to receive the same great offer. Buy-one-get-one BOGO deals are another great offer for this holiday. Want to have a bit of social impact with your email marketing? Partner with a Wildlife and Rehabilitation Center like W.E.R.C in California and sponsor a wildlife education program or pledge a donation with every sale. Groundhogs need love too. Promote Random Acts of Kindness Day.Our favorite suggestion for this theme is to give a shout-out to employees going above and beyond. Of course you could also make a donation to your favorite charity or hold a giveaway event at your location. But the best random acts of kindness are the ones where you catch someone in the act. Stealthily look for those do-gooders on your team and highlight their actions in an email. Don't forget the Oscars on February 24, 2019!Lastly, don't forget that it's awards show season and the Grammys and Academy Awards are both in February! This is a great opportunity to have some fun with this theme in your email newsletter and highlight those best performing products, services, or staff! Or simply feature an Oscar Night event or promotion.
